The Xbox Developer 2026 just wrapped up, and it showcased some amazing titles! The direct showed Fable (Playground Games), Horizon 6 (Playground Games), Beast of Reincarnation (Gamefreak), and a game called Kiln (Double Fine). If you didn’t see it live, please see the details below as we dive into each new game.
Xbox Developer Direct 2026 Showcase Games Announced
Forza Horizon 6
Horizon 6 is an immersive experience like no other that takes place in Japan! The graphics will blow you away as you race around Tokyo city and the mountain sides. Outside of the amazing graphics and beautiful landscapes This horizon will also allow base building with your friends and launch with 550+ cars. IF YOUR NOT FIRST, YOUR LAST!
Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing May 19th 2026, for Xbox & PC.
Fable
Fable is back and being made by Playground Games, and if you’re wondering, you can still kick chickens. This Fable game will be true to its roots as an open-world action RPG where every choice has a reaction. Get ready to adventure back into Albion and be the hero you always wanted to be, or be the villain, either way it’s your choice!
Fable will be releasing in Autumn 2026 for Xbox, PC, and PS5.
Beast of Reincarnation
Beast of Reincarnation is a love project from Gamefreak, and to answer your question: yes, the same Gamefreak who makes the Pokémon games. This new action game allows players to adventure in a post-apocalyptic Japan alongside their trusted companion Koo (a cute doggy). The atmosphere looks absolutely magical and looks to be an immersive world filled with whimsical creatures and epic boss battles.
Beast of Reincarnation will be releasing Summer 2026 for Xbox (Day-one Gamepass), PC, and PS5.
Kiln
Kiln is a wacky pottery party brawler that is fun for all ages. It looks like a mixture of Splatoon and Party Animals with its chaotic energy. Kiln is about pots that become playable after you create them, you can create all shapes and sizes. The party brawler looks to bring a fresh new experience to Xbox and might scratch the itch we all have from not having Fusion Frenzy 2.
Kiln is releasing Spring 2026 for Xbox, PC, and PS5.
This Xbox Direct was successful and did a great job of showcasing games that are around the corner and are playable this year. It is refreshing to have a showcase of games that aren’t 2-3 years out and are forgotten/delayed. Let’s hope that all these titles can live up to the hype!
